Find the Old Man's Treasure!

Location: Meet at Margaret Bowater Park - Pool Side

to carpool to Trail Head

Hike to the peak of Old Man in the Mountain

and Geocache with Michael Newton. Hike takes about 4 hours return. Bring your GPS or just come along without it and enjoy the scenic view of the Humber Valley from 1000 feet up.

Bring your lunch. Wear good boots. Difficult hike. Spectacular Photo opportunities. Snack and beverage will be provided.

Trail Head Coppermine Cape

Hike Copper Mine Cape with Outer Bay of Islands Enhancement Group. Look for new road on the left before the cottages at Coppermine Brook.

Route 450, York Harbour

Bring your lunch.  Wear good footwear.

Moderately difficult

Duration:  4 hrs return

Refreshments provided after hike by ACW at York Harbour Community Hall.  Entertainment provided by Newfoundland  talent.

Get Close With Nature at the CB Stream Trail

Location: Family Walk will begin at Playground side of Margaret Bowater Park Supported by the Dept. of Natural Resources and Model Forest. Plant trees, learn about the weather, trained search dogs, and discover what is in our forest.......Receive your forestry "passport" and get it stamped to win prizes and free BBQ, beverage, and treat for children.

Location:  Margaret Bowater Park - Poolside

Family Entertainment - Charlie Mercer. Meet Marty and Smokey.

Caving Tour with Cycle Solutions

 

Meet at Cycle Solutions, West Street - Corner Brook

Duration:  2.5 hours

Rating:  Moderate

Provided for you: Headlamp, helmet, snack and beverage

 

Suggested Clothing:  Hiking boots or running shoes - no sandals!  Long sleeves.  Trail may be wet and dirty.

Location: Meet at Margaret Bowater Park - Pool Side

Carpool to Trailhead at Humber Village. Hike 4 hours from Humber Village to Mount Ignoble and return same way. Fields/Woods/Meadows/Boreal Forest. Bring Lunch. Wear Good Boots. Moderately Difficult. Spectacular photo opportunities.  Snack provided.

Journey Back in Time with Crystal Waters Boat Tours

Location: Bay of Islands Boat Marina. Boat Tour will take you from the Marina to Woods Island. There you will walk with an interpreter who will share the stories of the people who once lived there.
